The northern province of Bac Giang aims to deploy a series of solutions to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation and develop the provincial digital economy. Following the announcement of the Bac Giang Party Committee, the province plans to ultimately provide public services at level 4 by the end of 2025 by utilizing various platforms, including mobile devices. Specifically, the top-level online public services in Vietnam will assist residents in filling out, handling documents, and paying fees online.
The online system is expected to resolve more than 95% of paperwork and applications at the provincial level, while the district and communal level rates will reach 85% and 65%, respectively. Moreover, the state management agency’s information system will digitally handle over 60% of inspection activities by 2025. To achieve the targets, Bac Giang will upgrade its provincial Data Integration Center to facilitate the implementation of new technologies and enhance high-quality broadband transmission network infrastructure and Internet of Things (IoT) connection. The authorities also plan to develop a digital transformation platform and collaborate with large enterprises to build a central information technology park in the province.
In Vision 2030, Vietnam aims to be among the top 50 countries in the world in terms of e-government and increase the digital economy’s contribution to the national GDP to 30%. With the new digital transformation plan, the country expects to adopt new technologies and business models, renovate the government’s operations, and create a safe digital environment by 2030.
