American Coatings Manufacturer Expands to Thailand and Malaysia

Following an earlier market research project which identified priority markers in Southeast Asia, Orissa International assisted an American manufacturer of coatings for corrosion reduction expand to the markets of Thailand and Malaysia. Our in-country teams secured over 10 in person meetings with Thai and Malaysian chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) parts and equipment manufacturers and distributors, as well as coil original equipment manufacturer (OEMs). We received very positive feedback from the client for the quality of the meetings organized.

American Premier Protein Specialist Expands to the Philippines and Indonesia

Our client is an American premier protein specialist, ranging from beef to specialty meat, which has emerged as one of the largest players in the West coast. The client was looking to expand to the markets of the Philippines and Indonesia. Our in-country teams arranged virtual meetings for the client, making connections with key local importers, retailers, and distributors of seafood, pork, chicken, and beef. Several of these companies leverage online platforms, websites, and social media to connect with their target audience and promote their offerings. In both markets, the client found leads that expressed interest in having further discussion about potential purchases.

British Exhibition Specialist Recruits Vietnamese Exporters and Agencies

Orissa International assisted a British exhibition business with the largest portfolio of B2B fashion and retail shows in the UK to attract more Vietnamese exporters as well as government agencies to their events. We developed a long list of around 30 potential partners encompassing a range of industries in Vietnam, including trade facilitation, industry associations, manufacturing, and export activities. Our team in Vietnam arranged 10 in-person meetings over a 3-day period with players such as local furniture associations, investment and trade promotion centers, handicraft and wood associations, chambers of commerce, and shoes and leather associations, among others. Several of these partners count over 500 companies among their members.

Iowa Trade Mission to Vietnam and the Philippines

Orissa International, together with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service, the U.S. Soybean Export Council, and the U.S. Grains Council and the U.S. Meat Export Federation, supported the Iowa Economic Development Authority in arranging an Agricultural Trade Mission in Vietnam and the Philippines from March 27th to 31st, 2023. The Iowa delegation was led by Mr. Mike Naig, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and was joined by representatives from the Iowa Corn Promotion Board, Iowa Farm Bureau, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Beef Industry Council, and the Iowa Pork Producers Association. A business luncheon was organized in both countries, allowing the U.S. associations to meet with key importers of meat, grains, wheat and soybean. The delegation also had the opportunity to conduct site visits of facilities of top local retailers and feed mills

Market Expansion for Protective Packaging Company in Indonesia

Orissa International assisted a company specializing in protective packaging technology and solutions to expand its operations in Indonesia through our Market Immersion Program. We conducted market research to help the company understand the Indonesian manufacturing sector, focusing on the electronics and semiconductor, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. Our report provided a detailed overview of the key manufacturers and distributors in each sector, as well as profiles of competitors such as desiccant and vibration data logger suppliers and various packaging solution providers.

Furthermore, we facilitated business matching for the company and arranged seven meetings for the client, two of which were held virtually. The meetings involved potential distributors of packaging solutions and products and end-users from the pharmaceutical and B2B food supply chain industries. Our aim was to connect the company with key players in the Indonesian market and to assist them in establishing valuable partnerships to aid in their expansion efforts.

Manufacturer of Equipment for Oil & Gas and Construction Industries Connects with Buyers in Vietnam

Our client is a US-based company that specializes in manufacturing equipment for the plumbing, HVAC, and construction industries, whose products include machines for working with large-diameter pipes. The company was interested to meet with potential buyers in Vietnam, mostly medium to large enterprises from the oil, natural gas, and water sectors. After identifying potential buyers and undertaking prequalification, we arranged 10 meetings for the client, 5 in Hanoi and 5 in Ho Chi Minh City. The client met with a variety of companies, including a construction company specializing in the installation of manufacturing technology, an EPC contractor providing technical solutions for the oil and gas industry, an upstream arm of a larger corporation that conducts hydrocarbon exploration and production, a state-owned power company that engages in EPC services for power projects, among others. The company was successful in securing a sale on site.

UK Manufacturer of Lifts and Elevators Enters Singapore and Malaysia

Our client, a British company that manufactures and sells vertical lifts and short-rise platform lifts for various applications, including residential, commercial, industrial, and public buildings, was interested to meet new dealers in Singapore and Malaysia. After undertaking research to identify potential partners, our in-market teams prequalified these companies and arranged four meetings for the client in Singapore and five in Malaysia. Some meetings were with engineering and automation companies that install, supply, and maintain mobility solutions. Others were with authorized dealers for international brands of lifts and elevators, such as Aritco, Sele Italia, Acorn Stairlifts, Harmar, Ideal Park, and Orona of Spain. We also arranged for the client to meet with its existing customers in Singapore. Overall, our services enabled the client to expand its network of dealers and partners in Singapore and Malaysia and improve its understanding of the market trends and customer needs in the region.

A US company specializing in medical, dental, and wellness tourism, as well as telemedicine options, sought the assistance of Orissa International to facilitate business matching meetings with medical institutions suitable for showcasing to international patients. We conducted extensive research and identified prospective distributors and partners, evaluated their eligibility, and coordinated meetings with them.
